Kryptek E-Commerce & Content Engine
Designing the storefront and the one-operator production system behind it
Kryptek Outdoor Group · 2023
Rebuilding the ecommerce experience and creating a custom multicamera content workflow capable of capturing Kryptek's full garment, pattern, and colorway catalog with one camera operator.
The ecommerce rebuild required more than a new visual layer. It needed a complete product-content foundation. I led the site's creative and art direction, layout, and UX/UI while planning and directing a large studio shoot across garments, patterns, colorways, models, body types, angles, and focal lengths. A custom Capture One-based tethering workflow synchronized multiple cameras so one operator could trigger and monitor the system efficiently.

Context
A new storefront needed a new content foundation.
Kryptek's ecommerce experience had to represent a large technical-apparel catalog across garments, proprietary patterns, colorways, product families, and different body types. Existing imagery and page structures were not consistent enough to support a unified, product-led shopping experience.
The production also required repeatable front, back, profile, detail, and alternate focal-length coverage across a large assortment while keeping framing, light, color, styling, and naming consistent. The storefront and the production system behind it had to be designed together.
Insight
“The website could only be as coherent as the production system feeding it.”
Strategy / Approach
Design the experience and the capture architecture as one system.
The strategy connected the site's visual hierarchy, UX/UI, page layouts, product-information needs, and responsive imagery to a tightly planned production matrix. Studio location, model casting, body-type coverage, garment sequencing, camera positions, focal lengths, tethering, selects, editing, naming, and handoff were organized around the requirements of the final ecommerce experience.
Execution
One click. Multiple angles. One operator.
I designed a custom Capture One-based tethering workflow that orchestrated multiple cameras and captured several angles and focal lengths from a single trigger. The setup let one camera operator run the capture system while monitoring results in real time. I also booked and managed the studio, cast models for the required body types, directed the shoot, photographed the catalog, and led editing and asset organization.
Work
Storefront, product library, and production evidence.
Responsive storefront layouts, final product imagery, flatlays, lifestyle photography, library organization, and behind-the-scenes production views show the system from capture through the customer-facing experience.
Outcome
A shipped storefront supported by a reusable content engine.
Role & Credits
Role and contribution.
I owned the site's creative and art direction, layout, UX/UI, photography, shoot direction, editing, and production strategy. I booked and managed the studio and models, designed and operated the multicamera capture workflow, and led the product-image system from planning through final library. Models, studio support, ecommerce development, and additional team credits can be named when the final image selections are locked.
